As a colourist, I worked in Island of the Hungry Ghosts,
Tribeca Film Festival 2018 winner.
I have graded documentaries, short movies and music videos, additionally to working with brands like Armani, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Desigual, Ryanair, COS, Superdry, TOUS and Bank of Ireland.
Stepping out of my confort zone,
I have also colourized black and white film footage
in a long restoration project.
As an artist, In 2012 I created a collective called
Confraria da Colagem, through which we spread
the art of collage and held free workshops
in low income communities in São Paulo.
In 2014 I participated in the collective Rua Nua, a project aimed to make arts made by women with feminist messages more visible through paste-up technique on walls around Brazilian streets.
I directed music videos, directed the photography of short films and illustrated album covers, among others for Wander Wildner and Luneta Vermelha.
In addition to group shows, I held
individual exhibitions in Barcelona, Brighton and São Paulo.
About me ~
¨The breast and body are indeed one,
but the souls that dwell in it are not two, or five,
but countless in number.
Man is an onion made up of a hundred integuments,
a texture made up of many threads."
I am not one who believes that someone must
place 100% of their attention on a single craft.
That doesn't mean you can't do it.
It should simply not be an obligation.
When I started studying film I had no idea what post-production was.
I wanted to be a director of photography and, maybe, a film director.
In 2010, while studying, I saw myself working in apost-production house,
both out of necessity and by accident.
But there was something there that I liked.
I kept investigating and attempting to grasp what it was.
Meanwhile, other things, such as collage, came up in my life.
I mixed all of this with my old love for photography and I cooked it in low heat.
I am neither a solely technical person, nor a creative one,
and I surely do not want to pretend to be something that I am not.
While the visual arts teach me the use of colour
and are part of the recipe for my way of working as a colourist,
post-production teaches me to be a better artist.
